Sorry bud. 1 more question. Do I keep the wire on the back terminal connected, or do i just replace the front wire and disconnect the wire on the back terminal?

The older alt with field sense you would leave it connected. If it was a newer style and the rear connection was marked ac then nothing should be connected there.
