It was my understanding the LTD and LDS both had liners. I could be wrong since I've never been in an LDT, but we the LDS has replaceable liners
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?187829-Re-torquing-the-quot-new-style-quot-multifuel-head-gasketIve heard a lot of people say that the head gaskets with the integral firre ring are better, what makes the ones with the separate ring worse than them? Also, does anyone know where to get the integral style gaskets? I can only find the ones with the separate rings, and they're always part of a kit which just has everything I need.
thats the one you have to put a bag of ice (in a large baggie) in the cylinder for a few hours.......No, that is normal. When the heads are off and you spin the engine over, the ring friction is often enough to lift them. All but one. There is always one that won't budge. It's the one Murphy is sitting on while he watches you.
That is a good trick David.thats the one you have to put a bag of ice (in a large baggie) in the cylinder for a few hours.......
LD, LDS, LDT 465 all variants- same head gasket. LDS 427 not sure.I noticed that the head gaskets they have with that set look a bit different. My engine is an LDS-465-1A, TD block. Is there a difference in head gaskets between these and the -1D or -1C engines? I couldn't fine much online that specifies head gasket specs or variations. Is the change in shape and design just part of the modernized update?
