Engine oil centrifuge on an M35A2 multifuel

The multi has two oil pressure relief valves. According to TM9-2815-204-35 Figure 19 which is for the LDS427, one at the pump (125 psi) and one on the side of the block (40 psi). I guess that you may be able to adjust the one on the side of the block but it probably is best to get a centrifuge which matches your engine. What is the original application?

Are you saying that your using the oil system on a running engine to circulate a centrifuge?

You could machine a block/plate to put under the regulator and get full pump pressure(whatever that may be depending on oil temp, viscosity, and engine rpm).

Why do you want to "centrifuge" the engine oil as it runs?

I found your original thread on this topic.

I merged your threads. Do not post multiple threads on the same topic, it wastes peoples time and is inconsiderate(and against the rules).

I think your wasting your time and money(just my opinion).

I always respect your opinion Doghead and thanks for clarifying that I wasnt sure if putting it in this thread was correct because I wanted to increase oil pressure but thats what you Mods are here for so thanks.

The external oil pressure regulator is on the side of the engine block, under the exhaust manifold and close to the turbo.

Since the oil is at full pressure going into it, you could build a spacer plate and add a port for full(unregulated pressure). This would require machinework.

There is also a pressure regulator built into the pump, it may need to be modified as well, to get a higher pressure.

Well my first year almost 5000 miles till I took it off the road to bob I ll be putting alot more on it now its road ready. Im getting ready to move back to Florida in hopefully a few weeks and Im driving my truck down.

if you have a turbo engine, 10 psi may be ok for idle, but certainly not for driving. the piston coolers turn on only above 15 psi, and you want at least twice that for driving. if i drove only 4000 miles a year, i would only change the oil every 3 years.

Here is where the external oil pressure regulator is.

One side is for the engine oil, the other is for the turbo oil.
