I am assisting the local Sheriff's department with some repairs on a newly acquired M1167. I am unfamiliar with these (auto/HD mechanic) so please bear with me. This unit prior to the department taking possession has had what appears to be a reman engine and transmission installed (they are much newer than the chassis). The initial issue was that the fan clutch was not bolted down tight and took out the radiator. While this was apart we noted that the small driveshaft off the crank pulley to the fan drive gear box is at a significant angle and almost looks maxed out. The belt tensioner is also about an 1/8 inch from the right frame rail. It appears that the engine is not aligned according to a couple drawings I found and one other unit we were able to look at. I have attached pictures of the motor mounts, transmission mount and the condition of the fan driveshaft and belt tensioner. If you guys could help me with any info I would greatly appreciate it!

all hmmwv engines sit in the truck at an angle, they are not straight. The geared fan drive shaft off the front of the crank is a CV joint, it Looks fine to me from the pics. We are probably the only shop that works on REV trucks on a daily basis.

Thank you for the info! The vertical alignment is my biggest concern. If you would just eye ball that last picture I posted. It shows the vertical alignment best. If its good then I'm good! Thank you for your help!
