Current weather here in Laramie County..blizzard, from the north. Deuces are parked nose to the west. Exhaust pipes, uncovered, make GREAT snow scoops. Started them up and had a geiser of muck explode out the top...quite entertaining. Now, I think to myself, how do I keep that nasty white stuff out of my exhaust? Two words...coffee cans, specifically, blue, 33 oz, Maxwell House, plastic coffe cans (sorry, you'll have to wait for the pictures). Covers the exhaust quite nicely and once I get some bungy cords, no worries about the extreme winds (which happen all the time). Now I know what to do with all those cans I've been collecting for...a really long time.

I use the inserts from the mermite coolers, they are longer and have the wire handle for when a severe storm is coming a bungie can be attached, but otherwise they are lomg enough one hardly ever needs one...and they are military.....[thumbzup]

Sounds good, I'll keep my eyes open for some. I forgot to mention it, the Maxwell cans have handles. I plan on the bungie cord going thru the handle down to a convienient spot (mirror strut?)

I use a 2 quart plastic cranberry juice jug, cut about 1/3 of the top off with an exacto knife. It fits snug on the stack pipe and wind won't blow it off.

I use a slightly crushed pint paint can, it is small enough to grip the pipe and rusted enough to blend in nicely. ( I also get great distance when I forget to take it off[thumbzup])
