I am thinking of using header wrap on the jeep down pipe to keep brake lines cooler. Any downsides to doing that? What type of wrap would be best,
Thanks

Summit Racing has plenty of it for the intended purpose.

Not sure if you are trying to keep the heat in on the exhaust system - OR - if you are trying to protect a short length of brake line that runs close to the exhaust. Only concern I would have is protecting a brake line could potentially trap water. You don't want to create rust that you could avoid...

I wrapped my exhaust for the exact same reason (concerned with the extreme exhaust heat toasting my brake fluid). When I did the first brake fluid flush I noticed significant discoloration of the front brake fluid (DOT5) vs my rear fluid which was still looking good.

I used a wrap off Amazon that had good reviews. It was super easy to install and works really well. Instructions are to soak the wrap in water, install on the header, the let it dry. As it dries it tightens up and looks sharp.
When I check temps with my IR thermometer I can see greatly decreased temps of my brake lines.

This is the best photo I have of the wrap:
