Finding out year of truck

I have a m929a1. My title says it’s a 2009. When the town registered it they must have used the rebuild tag date located at the drivers door sill. I looked on side of my axles and all were I think dated mid 84. Does this make sense? An 84 or 85? Tag on dash is blank.

Serial number is C52900818 that sticky does not mention anything about years.

Itll be in the 86 to 88 range being that 818 production. Ive got a 1985 929 I can look at and see what's its production # is.

1st post here, great place for information.
I just purchased my first 5ton, a M925. I haven't picked the truck up yet but the title says it's a 1980. From what I read they didn't start making them until 1982. I have see the truck in person but couldn't make out the date. Is there a way to date it by the vin number.

Safe to say it's probably a 1985. I know Production numbers thru 2400 are 1984s in the 925 models.

Maybe an 86 if it has single rear tires... it probably saw rebuild between 2008 and 2012 more than. Likely

They produced around 1200 to 1300 925s a year. Vs the 923s that were 2000 to 2200 a year. 931s were around 1000 a year

I ended up just putting down 85 for mine. It is just a regular m929

I think I'm just going to put down 1980 like the title says. If I try to change it I think it's going to open up a can of worms.
