First recovery with the M1078

Friday a friends CCKW had clutch issues so I towed it home for them with the 1078. The 1078 made easy work of the tow.

That LMTV looks enormous compared the CCKW. I've never seen the two together before.

WOW, what a change in scale over a couple of generations of the standard cargo hauling rigs. Would have been hard to predict, though the high flotation option for the CCKW did sport semi-super singles.

I'll second the notion of the necessary role of friends in this hobby, as the trucks get bigger so does the need for a good team.

You have to love putting that towbar package together vs the old round tube standard unit. Been there, done that....but no Tshirt!

Even next to a deuce it looks huge. The cab of the LMTV is taller than the cargo cover on the deuce.
