Has anyone here used flat clear over there paint job to help protect it and keep it from fading. I've been considering doing it on Gunny when I do the paint job but I don't want it to shine. If anyone has done it some pics would be great.

Yes I tried it. It looked terrible, even with the flat it put a sheen on it that made the colors look darker. Never again.

I haven't tried on my MV, but I have done it to rifles before to protect the paint job and it turned out good until what was on the barrel burned, then it didn't look so good, lol.

If you use it, then you have to sand it off before you can ever repaint the vehicle again as fresh paint will just peel right off. As much as I like flat paints and to keep it original, I'm not hiding from drones and eyes in the sky or enemies, so I have found semi gloss or preferably satin finished paints to be the best as the paint is easier to clean, low sheen, but also just lasts a little longer.
