Best of luck with the recovery, I am sure you already know.. Check the fuel filters.. drain a little check for water.. I took about 2-3 cups of water out of my filters.. wish I had known before my recovery.. Also stop often and check for hot wheel hubs.. sign of draggin brakes.. Plan your stops just incase the brakes give out.. there are inherent brake issues with these trucks.. Best of luck and let us know how it goes.. post pics when you get her back.. welcome to the club!

Congratulations and best wishes for a safe recovery. (Gee, that sounds like a Hallmark moment.)

Made it home

Got it home No problems 55 miles No white knuckle moments. Like to give thanks to CHUCK-10 for the help with the recovery. Changed all springs but e brake before the journey.it took a hour and a half. leaned it up a few.lbs looking forward to good times only problem is turn signals are inop and brake pedal don't start to work well until it's about a 1/4 of the way down looks like I have some tm's to find. Check my profile for a pic thanks for all the good wishes.

Glad if was a successful trip. Your brake issue is likely a lack of proper brake maintenance. There are adjusters on the backside of each drum. The top ones are for major adjustments, the bottoms are the fine tune adjustments. Secure the axle up in the air on a jack stand (both sides), spin the wheel and adjust away. Your best advice is in the TM's and searching around on here. Once you adjust the brakes out, you're pedal will start to work a little sooner.
