as has been stated before the key to this is having everything very clean and dry with no trace of grease. i just did mine sunday, drivers side took 20 minutes total and the other side took almost 30 as it just seemed more awkward. new zipper boots from memphis that stayed in the groove on their own while the clamp was installed.

I need to do this on my truck one of these days. Can one (or more) of you provide a source of a good quality zipperless boot? Murray has them reasonably priced and they are on eBay (Big Mikes). I can't speak to the quality though.

they should come with a manufacture date which is important. some i got many years ago were such poor quality you could see through the thin spots. i would go with memphis, they use them in their shop and would not carry inferior boots.
