After winning an auction back in April, and literally fighting and threatening GP after losing my paperwork not once but twice, constant runarounds, 'accidental' dropped calls, discussions with supervisors, Curse words thrown about, yada yada yada. My truck was finally released this week. It's making a pit stop before it's long trip out west.IMG_20201001_225506.jpg

Here it is in the raw. Starting it's long journey before it gets on the street. I want to thank everyone on this forum who I has offered advice and whom I have asked numerous questions of. Thank you.

Lastly, anyone interested in a 1045a2 roof or brush guard? Lol.

Thanks again everyone for your assistance. The journey continues.

Congrats, I'm also in SoCal. I didn't seem to have the issues you had but mine still took almost 8 months to clear EUC approval. At the moment mine is in the good hands of Black Dog Customs and should hopefully be finished soon so mine can make the trek west.

That's dope. I bought fuel cut off switch from black dog customs for àdded security. What are you having them do?

I had them do a safety and geared hub check. Also had the injection pump replaced since the old one was going bad. It is nice to have a little peace of mind that major issues are identified. Granted there are some simpler projects that I'll tackle when it gets here. I just got off the phone with them a little bit ago and my truck is done and now the fun of coordinating shipping it here. Where'd yours come from and what are you using for shipping?

That's great. My truck came from Albany Georgia. I'm going to use either U Ship or a guy that this shop I'm at is uses. I don't know timing of my truck completion yet, but we may save some coin if we split cost by having 1 truck pick up both Hmmwvs if possible.

That's possible, mine came out of Albany and is close by in Madison at Black Dog. Mike is checking with the broker he usually uses to get options.

Mine is up at custom combat trucks in Mt Airy, GA. I know RW also has a driver that makes runs from GA to SoCal.
Let me know if you can get an estimate on completion time for yours. I've been waiting for mine since December so I am not sure how long I want to wait knowing mine is ready.

Ok, so I have no estimate on a completion date as of yet. I understand if you cant wait. I'll try to get another update but I would bet its likely a week. But I have no idea how quickly this shop works as I have never done work with them before.

No worries, I just scheduled mine for pickup. Not too bad price wise either, $1,500 from Georgia to here.

While waiting... a good time to down load the TM's and print out the sticky on things to check out.

Got a feeling there's no GL dealer prep on HumV's, CAMO

That's a GREAT Price. Did Mike hook that up for you? Keep that guy's number handy or PM it to me as I will need it in about a week or so.
No that is one I found through a referral from a Facebook group. Mike isn't comfortable with this approach because he has had issues with similar types of carriers. So I am taking the risks in my hands but I'll let you know how it ends up. It should be picked up today and delivered next week.
