Gap with tire carrier.

So if I mount the spare tire carrier over the mudflap hanger as it shows in all the images, I assume I use washers on the other side, there’s a small gap between bumper and tire carrier base?

I put washers on mine to make up the space, but not sure if thats the intended solution. In for answers.

Yes, that is what I did also using large fender washers to distribute the load.

Still has the little protrusions for flaps tho?

I went with washers, at least I can wash out the gap and keep it dry I suppose .

I think they look better that way on any installation.
