I do not think that will be a problem. Of course, you haven't said what type gen set you have. But I don't think you need to worry.
Right, but what if the tank were on the ground, and the generator was in the bed of the truck? Gravity feed is no problem. My question is about suction.I have drained fuel from a 804, from a 1200 gal fuel tanker. Thats higher then the bed of a 5 ton by several feet.

Does this also mean the aux pump works the same way on a 806, the belly tank float trips, and kicks on the pump to pull fuel from wherever the hose is going until the float comes back up?
