Does anyone feel like there is a need for a list, so that you can find ALL the TM's applicable to any common Generator Set, Power Unit or Power Plant? If so, I will post it. If not, then not!

Here is a consolidated list of MOST generator sets. If I have missed something, let me know and we can always have a moderator delete the thread, and submit an updated list.

The listing is in order according to the Generator MODEL NUMBER. Just look at the first column for your model number, and the list of TM’s for your set should all be listed there.

If the TM is an engine TM, the Engine Model is listed.

The Publication date is important. If you have a 1970 manual you are using, and on the list it shows a 1980 manual, you are using an out dated manual.

Number of changes. Same story, different page. If your manual has a 1980 manual, but only change 1, and the list shows change 12, you manual is not up to date. Where do you find the latest change number? In the first one or two pages of the TM. The cover sheet lists EVERY page to be removed from the manual, and what pages go back into the manual to bring it up to date.

Distribution Code, Some manuals are Distribution Code A. Released for public distribution. Anyone can have them. Any other code means that we are not to have them, unless we work for the government in some function. I list any manuals with a Distribution Code other than A, in red. If I could find an older TM, with a Distribution Code of A, I listed it directly below. If there is none, well, that’s life!

No I don't. This is exclusively an Air force generator set, and manual. It also has a Distribution Code other than A. Meaning that we are not supposed to have it. Having said that, I put the NSN: 6115-01-256-1059, into my handy dandy browser. This is what came up:

TO 3502-3-4991 Green Mountain Generators

I then clicked on that link. And Low and behold! The manual came up. Now as I am a harmless old man, and would never consider downloading anything like a manual without a distribution code of A, naturaly I didnt download it.:wink:

I own one of these "Wisconsin Robin" units. It needs new rings at a minimum. It starts Ok, but has no power. Parts availability is almost "nil" on this engine. Spent $200.00 at GL for a piece of crap. Just my opinion.

Well, everything has a use. For instance, you could use it as a door stop, or, secure your key ring to it. You'll never forget where you put them again! Better yet, sell it to someone with huskies. They can have them drag it around. The possibilitys are only limited to your visions.

It's a TM listing. If I had put TB's, LO's and everything else on the list, I would have lost my mind. I am working on something like that, but it takes a lot of time checking and double checking everything. I do have another list done that covers PU's, (Power Units) and PP's, (Power Plants) if anyone is interested.

Ah, I see. That's the power of ignorance: not having any idea how hard it is to do what you're asking for! :)

The reason I mentioned it is that I ran across the quad fuse modification recently, which my unit doesn't have, and that got me wondering what other documentation there was that I didn't know about.

No Rusty, I don't know anyone, and here in Germany it's a sure bet these boys don't. But it's better to know, then not know.

m32835, are you active? Or NG?
