I'm not going for historic accuracy, at least not to that point.

I have a lot of reading up to do about paint and body work in general.

I have nothing against the wrong color. I am just pointing it out if his goal is to be historically accurate, it would be the wrong color.

Another thing worth mentioning is to take precautions when sanding CARC. I have seen an MSDS on it and it is nasty stuff. Wear respirator etc.
That's been the big thing holding me back from redoing my paint. I need to fix a little rust, but I don't have the equipment to do it. That's a good piece of advice to pass on to anyone considering a new paint job though.

Bumping this thread to the top because it's March and I'm getting ready to order within the next 2 weeks I think.

FWIW: I have purchased large quantities of paint from Mark at RAPCO in the past (personal use and group purchases). In each case, he discounted my per gallon cost quite a bit when the order got large... Also, as mentioned earlier, the truck rates were much lower for my entire purchase on a per gallon basis than the Hazmat charges from UPS would have been. Mark will also add spray cans to your order and shrink wrap them onto the pallets with the cases of gallons.

I'm sure that AJP will as well...

I've also talked to Randolph Products, but they couldn't get the colors/quantities that I needed the last time I did a group purchase.

Good luck with it.
