I see both sides here. Demand will drive up prices. Remember when 5-tons were $2500? eBay is very driven like that too, where a lot of our stuff comes from. We also have some rules on supporting vendors too much (the link thing).
However, I have passed along good deals when it comes along, which is sort of why we are on here, to help our green iron brothers. I tend to wait until I’ve vetted it out though, as I don’t want an innocent recommendation turning into a flurry of bad advice and wasted money. Sometimes it’s an impossible to find part that someone found, that’s almost better than a good deal to me. If you find a deal in which you think we just can’t pass it up, post away. I do know that when Black Friday rolls around, there is always a poster for those platform steps, which helped me several years ago. I posted the impossible to find bed seal, because of how one vendor doesn’t really have a catalog. If it’s HMMWV related it could fall into the ‘what I did today’ thread. We also had salvage yard recommendations. Just as long as it doesn’t feel like a pitch or falls into vendor cheering, and it will help someone, pass it along. We appreciate the help.
