Gun ring top

A friend of mine is writing a story that involves a deuce and he wants to know if there is an issue top available that has an opening in it for using the gun ring, or if it would have to be a field modification to have a top on and still be able to use the gun ring.

I told him that I didn't know, but I knew where to ask...

I have an original military hard top with the turret hole and it doesn't leak. It uses a raised flange and a gasket on the top/out side. Works well.

Just make sure he uses the right type of machine gun mounted to it! Not those MG42's you see all over the place here.
