I found out this year that a friend of mine was the driver of a gun truck in Viet Nam called "Lil sure shot". Does any one know were I can get the book "The hard ride"? I think that is the name of it. I would like to get it for him.
Thanks for any help.
One of the few, Frank

I like the yellow headlights. Wonder if those can still be had?

Forgot to log on... Here's something else interesting. A military report on convoy protection - essentially a history of gun trucks. It is 97 pages long so it make take a bit for the dial-ups.

You'll see a set on my M715 in my Avatar Picture. Another member spotted them on my truck and asked the same question so we started searching based on the numbers and mfg on the back of my lights. Apparently they are no longer manufactured. We weren't able to find anyone with any old inventory either. You might get lucky, I can get the numbers off them if you want. They aren't very practical on the street (probably not legal either), more like fog lights. I use them for show only.

Yellow lights

Seems like someone was trying to get rid of some a couple of months ago. Try a search using amber lights. If I remember correctly there was a thread on how to convert you deuce headlights to a more common 24 volt setup avaliable at NAPA (Lucas lights?) and I think one of the things it mentioned was amber headlights.
