Not sure when a good time to have the event would be. Worked out nice this year, wasn't smoking hot out like years before. I wouldn't mind early fall. As far as a fee goes, not sure. Personally I brought my own food. One problem was meals cuts into trail time with everyone cooking different stuff that thats different time.

Maybe instead of sheduling meal times, schedule trail times.
I second that. Several times there were moments when some folks were wandering around saying "when we going wheelin?", waiting on others who were out by themselves or lost, or just hangin around the campsite. Scheduled runs, on planned routes would be good - but it may require someone to go to Haspin ahead of time to plan out routes to wheel on.

I like the "Firebase Haspin" idea. Just out of curisity, would this be a MV only event or are civy rigs permitted on "base", Me and a buddy would love to go, but I dont want to drive my dads deuce from Lanc, PA to Haspin. How many miles at 42 mph=a lot of driving time.

Another suggestion - I have a 32-foot flagpole. Well, okay it's not a flagpole, but it is a LONG antenna set that can double as a flagpole. I think it would be nice if we fly Old Glory at our campsite next time around. Wouldn't be too much trouble to set it up, it's in 4-foot sections, and just stake it down when erected. Good idea?
