My 1009 is a heavy pig. I knew that. I haul a lot of stuff around in it on the regular.
33x12.50r15 tires and a full size spare, huge steel plate bumpers front and rear, winch up front, full 27 gallon fuel tank, full 10 gallon water tank, a big steel truss welded on the rear axle, 24v fridge and a camp stove on a slide out, tool bags, recovery gear, solar panels, 1.5 HP of air compressors, SM465/NP205, 6.2 diesel with 6.5 turbo, a small DC welder, 2kw inverter, and a small duffle bag with a sleeping bag and some minimalist camping gear.
Anyway, out of curiosity I took it to the truck scale today and they weighed it. Turns out it's way heavier than I expected at 3280 lb in front and 3520 in back, 6800 lbs total. If I put in 3 more people (550-600 lbs) and food and camping gear for 4 people for a long weekend (200-300 lbs depending what we bring) all of a sudden my Blazer would be pushing 7700 lbs...
I was stunned how heavy it is, but it's a certified scale so I'm sure they are right. Have any of you with built out CUCVs had them weighed? Does this seem crazy to you?
