Heading back East

After a fun filled couple of days with Jon (although I can't say the people at Barstow truck parts were particulairly interested in selling small parts), I'm now on my way back home.
I'll ellaborate on the visit with Jon later,since this is costing a bit of money. The touch screen wastes a lot of time ("Flying J" internet computer again).
I'm currently at the truckstop in Amarillo,TX.
The buffet style breakfast/lunch/dinner is a definite plus, easy to get tired of Wendy's hamburgers and Subway's subs.

My oil filters need to be changed so a call to the local NAPA is in order..hope they deliver.

Jason, I'll spend the night near OK City for a possible meeting with M1075 tomorrow. I'll contact him tonight. If you still want to get together for a visit at the junk yard, I guess tomorrow is the day.
More later and thanks for the oil filter offer, if I can't find them later today (NAPA didn't have them here in Amarillo), I may take you up on the offer.

For you who wanted me to shop for parts at Walter's and/or Barstow, it was a total miss, Walter's was closed and Barstow either didn't have the parts (drive shaft, spot lights, fuel tank etc) or didn't want to deal with us.

Barstow Truck Parts. We had a discussion about them last night. Gordon is moody. Talk to him on the phone or thru e-mail, sounds nice and invites you out there. Get there, it's a different story, doesn't have the time for the "little" guy. Seems to be put out if you wanna but small stuff like glass, interior stuff, body parts, etc. They also like to get top $ for the stuff they have. Wonder if they'll end up with any of the flood victims.
