Headlight Issue

I’ve searched the forums and can’t find my issue. Can you help?

After painting my 1123, I’m replacing my OEM headlights with some of those popular LED lights found on Amazon. I also replaced the side markers with LED’s. I’m using the same composite turn lights which came on the truck. When I turn on the headlights the Driver’s side works fine but the Passenger side headlight also illuminates the high beam. When I press on the high beam switch in the driver’s side floor panel, the Driver’s side high beam illuminates as I would expect, but the Passenger side high beam turns off and only the low beams remain on.
How do I resolve?

Figured it out. I unplugged the 17 and 18 from the harness connection. Then, I plugged the male 17 to the female 18 and male 18 to the female 17. While this is not how it is supposed to work, my lights illuminate correctly. I checked all my wiring and it is correct...bizarre.
I should have switched the wires before posting my inquiry.

If you look on the other side of the headlight shell you may see where you transposed the wires on that side.

If you look you'll find the headlight buckets are numbered on the backside where the passthroughs are and then there are the connections to the headlight proper on the inside. It isn't uncommon for the wiring to get switched between inside and out. Make sure your harness wires numbers are connected to the correct feedthroughs.

There's also the issue of some LEDs coming with wires attached and some with a separate pigtail and most people assume the ground (91) is the center pin on those headlights and it isn't always the case. The last batch that I bought had the ground lead off to one side.
