I remember seeing extension cables for the H-161, H-251, M-80, etc. somewhere, but can't remember where. They are in singles and I'm looking for two to extend my H-161 a few feet (not the Y cable U-229). Male on one end and female on the other. Can any one help me with a part number or designation so I can find some? It's driving my crazy I can't find it...:???:

Thanks,
Allen Jones

On teh new M1A2SEPV2 Tanks, they have a commo box mounted on the back called the tank-infantry phone. One of the components is a long coiled extension cable for the H-250U handset. It is a standard handset connector male on one end and the same female on the other. NSN 5995-01-386-5153, P/N A3211149-2 Cable Assembly, Special Purpose, Army Unit Price is $172.58 (ouch)

Hope that helps

I'm not sure if this is what you need but I have a couple of the old "Whisky" cables that connect to the headsets. I do know that they are double female ends though. PM me if that is what you need.

Thanks for the links. I initially thought they would work great (I'm trying to extend my H-161 headset, but see that C and D (microphone) are not connected in the CX-7868. The pr68 web site does say that you can take it apart and complete the connections. That being said, I see on Fairradio that the CX-10766-ZZ2 is a 27' coiled "Y" cable for the H-161, which is even better than the extensions. So that contradicts my original post :)cookoo:). Problem solved. Thanks guys and gals.
