HEMTT, gets to help make a new quad 50 gun truck

Several members of the PSMVCC and EMVC got together to bring together a VERY early M35 (gasser) and a quad 50 trailer together to make a gun truck period correct for the Vietnam conflict.

It isn't finished but they are on their way. The guy who owns the truck also has a half track with a quad in it as well, awesome stuff.

never realized they had their own power source, wait let me start my goverment issue one cylinder and I will shoot back lol. Where these as problematic as i think?

The quad has 2 batteries to run a motor that turn a hyd. pump that turns and elevates the guns. The engine is there to keep the batteries charged. Simple and reliable.

I'd dearly love to have that quad mount, I asked my wife when it was for sale and she said no. Then again, she told me I "had" to buy the HEMTT. You can't have everything.

how hard are the quad 50's to obtain?????????? price range???? that is an excelent looking setup !!! The girlfriend fully supports the purchace of one (come on, how often dose that happen?)

BTW, im serious about the price and avail. oh yea the gf part too.

Pretty rare and I'm not current on the prices, if I had to guess about $15,000 WITHOUT the guns. It was a rare sight to see 2 of them in one garage.

Complete with phony guns it probably would be worth 3 times more than any truck you'd mount them to.

You should have asked to put it into the bed of the Hemtt for a photo op in exchange for lifting it into place.

Actually they paid me with pizza and and provided fun company, any excuse to drive the truck and I'm there. I even let the guy who owned the other truck do the lifting with the wired remote control.

They were thinking the HEMTT needs two of them one pointed each side making a devistating 2.5 mile wide swath of death.
