Don't forget to read the reading: operators' manual, organizational maintenance manual, parts book, and lubrication order. There are somewhat more grease points on a military hummer compared to a civilian edition, neglect them at your own peril. Then TMs are available in the TM section on this site. If have never encountered a military light switch, "off" is at 1200 high, not as far to the left as you can push the lever.

Hi all just picked up a m988 excited about the site
.
Welcome to the site from North Carolina!

Happy to hear that you have a new toy and like has already been said - be sure to post up some pictures! It will be a great way to document where your truck started and what it will eventually grow to be.

Don't hesitate to download the "-10" TM and flip through the pages.
There are tips and tricks and all sorts of magic in those books.
How much oil does the motor hold? What kind?

All those things are answered in the Technical Manuals.

Again, Welcome to the group!

I’m also in AZ for now. Tucson. Just received my Title from Iron Planet last Wednesday. Cost me 160ish and 6 month wait time. Registered in 15 minutes for 160 bucks. For 2 years no smog. No inspection Gov planet gave me the option for SF97 or SF97 and Title. SF97 50 bucks. 100 dollars extra for Title. Title is for on-road use!

Wow! Neat place to go for a spin around the desert for sure.
A couple of those pictures would be nice to hang on your wall.

Trying out the new iPhone 12 Camera! Wednesday of last week was the first day I drove it after registration. I couldn’t believe how painless it was to register with the title and classic car insurance! I been reading online that it’s hit or miss in AZ getting these things plated.
