What transmissions would be viable for 1000+hp diesel with 2500ftlb tq? Also what modifications could be made to help it withstand it?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
cost is no issue lol and whatever transmission will take the cake it will take a **** of a beating
Id look at the Allison HD9600 and a chain drive for your transfer case... and Ovuerson for your axles shafts.Perferably not too heavy but it can have some weight of course since its going in a m923a2
Depends on your bell housing, I guess. Allisons are proven, with support everywhere. I know both those guys and they do well, but if something were to go wrong, you can go to any Allison dealer. There are bound to be 300X more Allison transmissions out there in the world operating at those power levels moving more weight. What about gearhart And lenco?
I have access to all that and then some and I would not do a custom engine. You're a better man than I am.Having access to a cnc machine and good with autodesk and stuff helps if i need some truely custom stuff
