I have the cab moved down to my mechanic. He has a cab crane for changing semi cabs, I figured he could do it much faster than me.
I did make progress inside the cab. I sorted out most of the electrical. I removed the HIMARS cables that were dangling all over. I also got the seats bolted in.
I have been fixing little things on the truck. Restored the air ride on the cab, fixed some hydraulic leaks, currently fixing the CTIS and Gladhands. I decided all the odds and ends would be easiest to get fixed before adding the cab swap complications.
I have one of those cabs. Ended up stripping it, as it was missing the doors. What did cross my mind at one point though was to use an FMTV dumpster, put a HIMARS cab on it...do you see where I am going? Yeah, a Himars clone/mock up. Now that would be a one of a kind.

That would be funny! It was always cool watching the HIMARS stand up while I was in Afghanistan. I never got to see them launch a rocket. I did get to see them impact.
