HMMWV 6.2 header shields

I recall seeing some 6.2 or 6.5 motors on GL with heat shields on the headers. Were these standard on all HMMWV's? Just a 6.2 or 6.5 thing? I think they look great and take some heat off the GP wires which is always a good thing.

yes they are std. lots of them don't get reinstalled bc they are a PITA to get on once the motor is in the truck. but yes they are in the 24-p as std equipment.

Thanks, were they passenger side only or drivers too? I'll have to keep an eye out for a pair for sale.

Pax side only on my 6.2. The turbo motors have several more around the back.

The Pass side has a two piece shield.
I might have a spare set.

Could you guys tell me how much difference the headers will make vs the manifold on my CUCV? Thanks

Now that's a hi-jack.

Probably a 5-10hp increase.
