HMMWV dome light in cab

I know some people have done this, can you tell me what kind of light it gives you? Can you read by it, find stuff on the floor, etc? Are you satisfied with it, etc.?

I have seen a few trucks setup with marker lights for cab lighting.
Lenses come in clear, amber and red.

'Course that isn't the military standard.
Have seen the mil-spec version for a little over a hundred bucks.

Yes they work good enough. These are what is used inside of tanks and other armored vehicles.
