What are the bolted on loops up and down the frame on both sides of my duece ? I have seen them used for handles on the hood but nothing else .

Hmmm...I was pretty certain I saw in one of the TM's where some of them were also for guiding the lift straps....might have been a hallucination tho :?

I have several bolted to my car trailer for securing straps and whatnot. I also use the front ones for securing the piggyback device when towing.

I thought they were handholds for crawling under the duece.... I have spent a lot of time under mine!

they are used for sling loading a duece. the sling would fit through and secure to the top of the springs. i learned about slinging a duece from a chinook in air assault school.

Correct nomenclature is; Loop, Headache, M*?*#@ dash A. I've found they work best for hitting yourself in the forehead, back of the head or knowking your cap off as you crawl around under the deuce doing maint. or service.
