i am making my deuce dump and i need to know how to hook up the electric over hydrolic pump can anyone give me some ideas

Guys building low riders have been running 12 volt pumps on as much as 48 volts for years ..Any time you have two batteries in series they need to be drawn apon at the same rate and charged at the same rate....Yes they will take a certain amount of uneven discharging and charging ..but this will lead to early failure ...I was running my trailer lights off of just one battery ...This was a small draw but it still caused the batteries to discharge at a uneven rate and killed the battery in less than a year..Of course i thought it was just a bad battery...Then it happened again same battery and again a couple months later...i unhooked the trailer lights from the one battery..no more problems and it has been over two years ..Since 6tls are not cheap i would run the pump and relay on 24 volts and get a voltage reducer to run the soloniods this will be a safe way to do it....or you can add a 12 volt battery and a 12 volt alt to run your 12 volt items...i am in the process of making the brackets needed to add a 12 volt alt to the deuce and to update the 24 volt gen to an alt..MY design is done and has been tested....i made my jig and have 100 of them getting cut out on the plasma table this week ..
OK guys. I can tell you after working with electronic engineers as an engineering technician for the last 25 years. I can tell you it is always best to go with experience.any unbalance in load on batteries in series will result in an unbalance in charging. but it will be in an unfavorable fashion. the battery with the load will undercharge and the other battery can be severly overcharged. just don't do it. for 12 volt selenoids you can use a dropping resistor, one for each selonoid. measure the current at 12 volts and use a resistor that will give you the same current at 24 volts. ohms law formulas are on internet.
