Didn't know the alternators were different between the 250 and the 8.3, but did update signature line to help provide another clue when I fail to provide all the details.I did notice that.

It was a slotted type plug for the three wires on my voltage regulator, and I have ordered a replacement. With any luck this will take care of my voltage issue.
As a side note, I did notice that the voltage adjustment is under the cover on my alternator but is outside the cover on others.
Again, thanks for everyone's help, hopefully this issue will be solved with the new part.
