How do you store your shorts for later use?

Got a trash can full of pretty much everything under 2' but I have to admit it's probably not the greatest idea as everything on the bottom gets lost and forgotten about.
for larger stuff I got a metro cart rack from work that is great for sheet goods in the center, heavy plate etc. on a bottom shelf and light, longer rods, angle etc. up on top shelf.

If you have the room a 275 gallon tote works really well with the top cut off. Plenty of side room to dig around in and you can move it with a forklift. I suppose you could also put wheels on it but they don't drag too hard either.
