How do you Wire a Dash Light Bulb?

On my M1009 the wire to the bulb that illuminates the Voltage Meter has fallen apart. Does anyone know how to properly reconnect the wire? There does not appear to be a way to crimp the wire into the piece that holds the light bulb. See the links for pictures of the wires and light bulb.

I believe the end of the wire goes thru the spring and gets soldered on to the tee shaped button. So place the wire thru and after its soldered, push back into the socket. The bulb holds it in.

That makes sense. I was wondering how to use solder and still have the spring able to compress. But I guess that if you solder the wire to the tee button separate from the spring that it will still allow the spring to compress. Thanks for your help. I will let you know how it works.

yep through the spring and soldered to the tee button would be your best bet. good luck cause sometimes they are a pain to hold solder and get the wire to stay in while trying to do it all.
