the DLA lady just wrote me back and says it should be done within the week. Heres the kicker though according to her info GL just submitted the paperwork to them on august 5th. GL says they submitted all the paperwork on June 14th. Either paperwork is going back and forth for this gauge clearance issue or GL is sitting on paperwork and blaming it on BC.

Im not sure whats going on honestly but i start getting worried when i get conflicting stories.

Here are details of my first GL/EUC experience:

07/15/2010 - Placed bid on M105A2 trailer out of Ft. Sill, OK (Sale 5304)

07/16/2010 - Received email notification of winning bid

07/16/2010 - Submitted EUC and driver's license photo (scanned as PDFs) via email to eucinfo@govliquidation.com

07/16/2010 - Online chat to verify payment. Was told where to look for "APPROVED" status. It did show "APPROVED".

07/20/2010 - Online chat to check on "Submission of EUC Pending" status told to check back if status didn't change by 7/22

07/21/2010 - Recieved confirmation email for receipt of EUC

07/23/2010 - Online chat since status still said "Submission of EUC Pending" was told "update should take place within about 72 hours of that confirmation email"

07/23/2010 - Later in day received EUC revision request with Export Letter attachment
**They should ask for this along with EUC not wait 7 days and then tell you they need it!

07/23/2010 - Online chat to verify which email to send Export Letter to and was told to also send it to info@govliquidation.com

07/23/2010 - Signed and scanned Export Letter (as PDF) and emailed it to info@govliquidation.com and euc4@govliquidation.com

07/26/2010 - Online chat to verify receipt of Export Letter. They finally located it and said they would make sure the EUC Specialist got it.

07/26/2010 - Status changed to "EUC sent to Battle Creek"

08/06/2010 - Patiently waiting...

I'm sure glad I bought my first deuce from another SS member (Thanks Warthog!) and didn't have to go through this process on a bigger purchase.

Yeah I was a little surprised. Now, I don't want you to think I'm complaining but I didn't have nearly enough time to prepare! Picking it up Wednesday. This whole ride is looking like it will be quite the adventure.

what is the probablity after you've won the equipment and you are waiting on the paperwork, that someone start cannonibilizing your truck. how do you deal with that?

The first EUC of each year takes a while. Each one after that only takes a few weeks. Some bases are really bad about people taking parts. Some bases are great and don't allow any funny business.

after the funds have been recieved, they should let you take the equipment to a storage place, just to not let any parts be taken off of the equipment.

Well, I finally got some movement on this issue, but I am a bit confused. Below is the text of the email I got from DRMS.

I thought that military trucks were Demil "B" or "Q", not "F"? Anybody have any idea what this message means? There is a link to the demil codes on GL, but when I try to access it all I get is a message saying that the URL is incorrect.
I just got the same responce from DLA

Dear Mr. XXXXX,

Your inquiry to the DLA Disposition Services Customer Service office
requesting status of the End Use Certificate (EUC) that you submitted in
support of your recent purchase with Government Liquidation (GL) was
forwarded to me for direct response to you.

The DLA Accountability office responsible for issuing a Trade Security
Control (TSC) clearance to buyers advises that your clearance is still
pending. Because a vehicle you are purchasing has a demilitarization
code of "F" assigned, the Accountability office requires a demilitarization
certificate in order to complete their clearance process. We provided the
certifications to the DLA Accountability office today and they will expedite
your TSC assessment and advise GL once completed.

I apologize for the delay.

Regards,

I've been waiting since April 14th. At least the truck I bid on is only 4 miles away. A friend of mind runs the "drmo" its in so I visit it about once a week. He makes sure no parts are removed. Its the only one left in the compound.

How long should I wait before contacting them to see if GL sent the demil certificate for a deuce? It's only been 9 days but maybe if I can get them to check maybe they'll process it then. This is a first time EUC.

You should logon to your account and make sure the EUC status says "sent to battle creek" ASAP.
Once that happens there is no way to speed things up. you just have to wait...
