Okay boys here's mine.....

hot tub hunting in a so called "dry pond" During this event we managed to break : burnt the motor up in my brand new warn 18,000 pound winch because 3 pickups were pulling on my winch instead of sitting with there brakes locked. I guess maybe that's because I was pulling them to me hehe. Also one of the guys tore up his front end in his dodge 3500 he broke an axle. Overall not a very fun experience! We ended up pulling it out with an oilfield winch tractor that had an 80,000 pound hydraulic winch. We tried 3 pickups and a tractor to get her out it was in a really bad spot too.

Looks like a drill mud pond, if it is, no matter how dry the top gets, under that dry it will stay gooey for ever. also if in fact that is a drill pond, you are lucky that the deuce framed out and that the truck was lite because it could have gone down till the bottom was found.

Underbody rust preventer is right haha! It was pretty gnarly when it sunk in the fan was spraying mud you could hear it lol. Will say tho she ran the whole time fired right up.

That is a pretty stuck duece too!

I dunno I might try stuffing some of it into the tank:)

Not nessissarily. In most places you are required to extract the chemical "drilling mud" from your cuttings. The cuttings themselves will dry out.....actually so will the chemical muds and bentonite mixes. Though, that depends on how dry the surrounding ground is and how long it has been there.

Even so, that was one stuck deuce! I call that a good time.

I always call it early. If I even think the truck is bogging down I'll stop. Most of the time I have another vehicle traveling with me
I'll hook up for assistance.
There has been plenty
I also carry a testing stick. Any suspect terrain I'll throw on the chest waiters and have a look.
Not worth it.

Wow. That is stuck. Wonder how many snatch-blocks it would have taken to get you out under your own power if you'd had a PTO-driven winch. And hooked-up to what? Looks like the only way to make it out of something like that is to not get into it.

This was on a weekend with all my buddies in a field we couldnt plant. We probably got stuck like this 5-6 times. After dark we were still at it and as i hit the hole in 4th gear in low range the front just dropped! After the nose dived the headlights went out and i thought they got smashed out or the wires somehow pulled out but as i grabbed 3rd and paddled threw it they then came back on after i turned around on the end of the field. We had a good laugh when we realized they were just packed with mud!

I figured it was going to be a nasty hole as i managed to get my little dozer stuck wile disking the weeds down!

Believe it or not, we pulled the deuce out with a 86 chevy short box half ton and a 30' strap! My buddies knee caps were about bleeding from hitting the dash after the 8 times it took him backing tailgate to tailgate with a full run!

It looks like you pulled it deeper into the mud wall with the winch cable out in front , I do not know if you tried it the way it went in, but that would sure have been a ton easier and less broken parts. But very cool shots :) Always glad to see trucks get stuck and no wimping out :):):)
