how to straighten body panels

Just bought a M-100 trailer that has had a hard life. How is the best way to straighten the body panels??

How severely are the panels bent? Enough to require a BFH?

Those are very hard to make look good. The various panels are available from MD Juan dealers. You can replace the front and rear panel easier than beating it straight, heating and shrinking out the dents, and bondoing your existing ones.

I have been working on some antique tractor sheet metal today. BANG, BANG, BANG, weld up splits and tears, grind welds,apply bondo, SAND, SAND, SAND, spray with primer, now how the he?? did I miss that???? Oh, and if you don't use profanity you will, and may acquire a taste for alcohol.

the front panel looks good the back is the worst one curved, this trailer was used to haul sand and rocks, the floor and aft wall are the worst of everything, i wonder if it worth the time to try to straighten them or just leave them alone and paint it OD green..

My deuce must have been used to haul dirt, sand or something else heavy and fluid. My floor is just like your trailer floor. Wavy from front to back. Reminds me of the hold of a freighter that has been converted into a museum in Sault Ste Marie. I think it is called the Valley Camp. The hold floor was very wavy from all the iron ore it hauled during it's lifetime.

I always wanted to come out with "Spray Bondo" in a spray can - will fill anything - just like those scratch fillers on TV that make anything look like new. Keep spraying till the dents are filled - could not be any easier.

If it were mine id just sand or wire brush it and paint it. If your going to be using it you will be worry free.
