Looking for some advice please. I recently had issue with the M35A2 not starting and was sluggish when running. Then would not start . Short of the long story. After reviewing many threads and videos ordered replacement HH from CC. Aligned all marks as others had discussed. Red mark on gear on pointer. White mark in window was visable. Head came out easy as expected. Replaced with new. Truck fired up and runs. However the idle is around 1000 RPM. Where before failure it was around 800 RPM.
I’m thinking somehow a tooth off? Thoughts welcomed please.

1.Make sure the throttle handle is all the way in, and nothing is obstructing the accelerator or throttle cables/linkages
2. Take the truck for a drive and get it up to operating temp
3. Adjust the idle down to 850 (mine seems to vibrate a little less when adjusted a bit above 800)https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/how-to-set-deuce-idle-speed.124629/
4. If the truck runs ok, enjoy the rest of your day.
