Just this past Sunday, Wreckerman & Elmo played this on their Radio Show for us....

OH! It rings SOOOOO TRUE !

I really don't want to hear about Wreckerman and Elmo getting the shaft. Some things should be left alone...

Now I have to go scratch out my mind's eye...

When she throws her hands on her hips (you know that move) it is body english to shut up and humbly nod only - say nothing - do ntot let your eyes wander or say nothing - just stand there (and no chit eating grin on your face either) the humble I am sorry again look.

After a couple times of buying od stuff you should have it all down pretty pat.

Don;t listen to me though - I am still practicing to get it right after 33 yrs.

I also palyed this:
Good ol' Roy.
I once had the privilege of taking him to lunch when he flew his Mitsubishi MU-2 Turboprop into San Angelo for service (we built those planes here).

I had no clue who he was, other than it was past 2pm and "some pilot named, Roy, is at the service center and needs a ride to get some lunch." He wanted BBQ and was familiar with a good place close to the airfield.

Halfway through the meal, he looked at me and said, " You don't know who I am, do you?"
"No, sir. Should I recognize you?"
He wiped the sloppy sandwich drippings off his hands and extended one for a handshake... "Hi, I'm Roy Clark. Do you ever watch HeeHaw?"

That was the beginning of a years-long good friendship.

Whenever he brought his plane in for service, he always treated everyone like he was at the neighborhood garage. Played dominoes with the guys when he was there during their lunch break. He even snagged a sandwich off the "Roach-Coach" lunch wagon to eat with the mechanics.

I always admired his genuine appreciation of people.

One of my ex-wives told me I needed a new hobby since MV's were so expensive.....I said "how about drinking and hookers......would that work better for you?"

The subject was dropped at that point......for a while.
Man after my own heart. Heck, Wreckerman, I like you! I'm going to take you home and let you...errrr...take a ride in my 5-ton.
