Despite the heat, wrong parts ordered ect I put my 69 duece clutch and transmission back in yesterday. Lots of stuff to correct along the way. Floorpan bent up under gas pedal not giving me enough pedal travel, clutch clevis pin had nothing retaining it from falling out, Throttle pivot 3 threads away from loosing the nut and falling out, clutch bellcrank arm indexed wrong on the splines, missing bolts from rear U-joint flange on xfer case, Lots of other stuff fixed to make it solid again. I took it for a drive and man it felt good. I seem to have a little more get up and go as my pedal now travels down to the bump stop like it should. Or should I say the bump stop is lower from the floor pan being corrected. I am glad to get it on the road again. Now I only have one rig down and not running...
