Well I have great news...my last 003 that was stuck from rust in the cylinder is free.. I took out the injectors and sprayed in knocker loose. Had a 2 week soak. I just popped off the heads this afternoon and filled the cylinders with atf . Then put a 3" hole saw upside down on top of the piston with a thick rag between the two. Then gently used my air hammer around the inside of the upside down hole saw. The vibration freed it right up.. it was only stuck in a small spot luckily.
I believe my last two 003's will be ok, the rings seem to be ok and no pits or grooves in cylinder walls. I will pour atf on top of pistons and see if they leak down. what is the rule for leak down past the rings?
So the count is 2-002's running and 2-003's running
2 more 003's to go
