You're missing multiple things.

1. PTO shift linkage and associated bracketry
2. Skid plate under the air pack
3. A solid reading of the TM's 8)

I think there is supposed to be some kind of a shield attached to that bracket, I don't have one though. Perhaps this video will help you out maybe you can see something ..

Thank you all for the reponses.
This is an AM General M35A2 W/W, that at one time and orginially was a M35A2C WO/W.
When the previous ownersgot the truck the bed had been removed and a rear crane of sorts had been added, it was used by a fire department.
He removed that, and yes it did have a rear mounted PTO, and put a regular cargo bed on it.
Im 99% sure that the rear PTO has been removed already. If not, I have no use for it now and would to make a little extra money to put back into the truck.
Im not sure of the exact year of my truck, but the contract was let in 1970 and it was serial number 10001, so I would assume 1970 or very early 1971.
This truck is a non-turbo.

As far as the TM's go, I have the 10, 20, 24, and 24P level manuals from my guard unit that they gave me, as well as manuals for just about every other truck the army currently has, but Im new to this deuce thing and learning as I go. I assumed that was the air pack, but didnt know where that linkage from in front of it went, and I have a torn boot up there on whatever that thing is.

I am sorry for posting links to pics. I will learn how to post them straight onsite.

Thanks,
Corey.

I may have one of those airpack skid plates laying around if you need it.

Phil just got our last set of extra bumperettes. The spring bolts can be had from hardware places, half the time they're ruined anyhoo.

I'll look in our stash this weekend. If I don't pm you, remind me. I was dropped on my head a lot as a child and have bad memory.

In one of your pics the vent line from the master cylinder has been disconnected and left open. The line needs to be capped. The master cylinder may have a vent cap installed in it. Deep water submersion will allow water into your brake fluid. Either extend the vent up on the fire wall or install a remote fluid reservoir for easy fluid checking.

Two potential options for that line:
1) there is a brass fitting that goes in the master cylinder cap that connects the M/C cap to that line (the line is the master cylinder vent line)
2) cap the line and put a spring-loaded breather cap (like the little black ones on your axles) in the M/C cap

Thanks guys, but Ive got the spring bolts now. I do however need a vertical bracket (the one with threaded ends) for my west coast style mirrors. Mine on the passenger side has broken threads.
Im also having issues with getting the pins out of the door hinges to mount the mirrors.
Does anyone have any tips for that?

Thanks guys,
Corey

Yeah, Take the nut off the bottom of the hinge bolt, install mirror bracket assembly, re-install nut, tighten accordingly.
I beat on those hinge bolts until I was blue in the face, then I figured there was more than one way to skin a possum.
I'm OK with that install, your results may vary.
