Here is the letter of the SS Law:
Auction Postings: Please abide by the following rules concerning the posting of auction information in the forums:
• Do NOT post about future or current GL/GSA/eBay (including items for sale in buy-it-now formats)/local/city/state/Federal/estate auctions. You may post about any auction after the auction is closed.
• Do not post links to auction photos. GL/GSA links quit working after a short period of time so save the image to your PC and then attach it to your post.
• Do NOT post links to current eBay auctions or Craig's List ads that are not your own. You may post a link to your own auction/ad only if it is in an information/discussion thread about you vehicle/item. Do not start a post in the Conversations forum or your vehicle specific forum just to announce your auction/ad.
• No collusion as specified above.
The section highlighted in red is pretty obvious. The OP chose to violate this by posting the info that he did. It would have been no different if he had posted a link. If he had read that rule he would have realized that himself. With that said, I don't believe it was in malice. The VIN is a valid point but this is also a caveat empor. One should not be buying a CUCV without doing a little research beforehand. To me this is as obvious as it could be. I'm going to elect to leave it up for a while but I am locking the thread. Remember, we are all supposed to be on the same side here. Tossing stones at each other solves nothing. BTW, I would not want to be the one that starts another thread asking about why this one was locked. Lets do our best to get along.
