Before the flames get thrown, I know nothing about this area of the law, so I am just trying to learn.

Hypothetical: Your State says that you can no longer drive your military vehicle. You own a cab for a semi truck that has been totaled (have title) and you own a military truck. You put the cab on the military frame.

1. How is this truck classified generally or can this even be done? (I know states differ)
2. Could you legally take the VIN of the donor cab?
3. If I took a semi truck and put the suspension of the military truck and axles on it, would anyone insure it?

Frame numbers dont change if they are looking for that. And mixing numbers can be a hassle in the event they catch it. The rebuild tag on dash has a different vin than my truck frame cause I swapped cabs until someone wants to snoop I wont say anything they can work their little heart out going thru all that carc paint on the frame
