Inherited deuce, looking for some help with identification

Welcome to the site. So sorry to hear about your father in law. Do you know if he was a member of Steel Soldiers? If so, perhaps we could look for some past posts that might shed some light on the history of this truck. Who knows someone near Indianapolis with a deuce that might be able to test drive this one to see if the breaks feel normal. The first time I drove my M37 I thought the breaks were bad. Well they where but I didn’t know they were built that way😄. Maybe there is nothing wrong but it would be nice to know that this truck is safe to use.
