Injection pump idle adjustment.

I know, but thinking that someone that sells tons of HMMWV parts on Ebay would try and scam someone by listing a IP that he says was fully functioning except that it was not for a 6.2. It was a 400 dollar IP and I'm out my labor of having to remove and reinstall. Pretty sick of getting scammed on ebay now a days.

Well send it back, if it was listed as used, Fleabay policy says it must be "fully" functional, Fleabays policy no matter what the seller says and or does not accept returns, the only thing actually sold "as is" is an item listed as "parts or repair only" pick "Item is defective" when you start your return and he will have to pay return shipping.
Although not seeing the auction it sounds like you were warned but those are the rules so let your conscious be your guide.....

Actually I am a little surprised, the local diesel injection service which will only order rebuilt pumps from a national rebuilder told be recently a rebuilt pump is around $600, in hindsight does not seem to be worth the risk

That's not new. A new old take off maybe. This is what a new one should look like. Hopefully, the same on the inside and calibrated correctly for application.

Victoria fuel injection whom actually rebuild and of course guarantee DB2 pumps told me $600-900 depending on what condition the pump is in today when I called.
Of course you were in a spot because your pump was seized and possibly not a valid core..

without going through every respons, I would never, ever install a pump someone took out, or a used pump unknown to me..ever, that’s an invitation to a waste of many hours and having to buy a new pump.

now, have you removed the throttle cable and the idle changes? What happens if you force the throttle linkage to idle and hold it down.

I have never heard of that seller, and they currently have 0 items listed. Only 53 reviews in past 12 months. That isnt really “tons if hmmwv parts” b

My mistake, I've bought so many parts I got seller confused. Still has positive feedback plus 20 years on eBay.

Matt. RWH does these rebuilds for a living.

Would you buy used batteries or headlights to install? I doubt it. So you might want to have the IP rebuilt prior to installation. Or face the music later.

the wire on top is the fuel cutoff

OK have you tried advancing the accelerator? if that was your problem then now you have the idle set screw to far down to idle.

As Action said the top wire is the run solenoid

This one I pulled no start. I did blow out the return line again with my compressor and it started and ran normal for about 2 mins and ramped up.

I'm going to do that right now. Is that the cold start solenoid or the shut off solenoid I have circled? Confused.

Ran hose to bucket. Good stream of diesel coming out with return disconnected.

It went down and was idling way less than before. I'm wondering if I should try and disconnect the rear terminal on ip. That is the cold start advance?
