Injector pump supply fitting

Simple question I'm sure one of you guys knows off the top of your head.
What is the thread pitch and size of the fuel supply fitting in the inlet of the booster pump? I'm gathering parts to build a new fuel filtration system and I need to get a new fitting to plumb 1/2" dot poly tube to the booster pump. It looks like 1/2" NPT, is that correct? If so I could pick it up at Napa tomorrow.

Are yout talking about where the normal rubber hose plumbs into the bottom of the ip/booster pump? Cause that's definitely not npt. AN fitting I believe. Can't remember the size.

Yes, that fitting, but not where the hose connects to the fitting. I need to know the thread in the pump that the fitting screws into. It looks like NPT. Looks like I may have to just pull the fitting out and see what it is.

Pretty sure it's 1/4 npt but Ive heard those fittings don't come out easily due to the thread sealant they use. I've had to drill/machine and re-tap some of the other fuel fittings before since that sealant is the permanent type.

If I remember right the fitting that the rubber hose connects to is jic-6 so you could just leave the elbow fitting in the IP and connect to it the same way the current hose does. That's what I did with mine, post 174 (link below) shows the hose setup I used. I'm sure you will come up with something better though like rustystud did.

I see what you did there. I was hoping to do away with that entire JI6 fitting and just go NPT to DOT air fitting, but if it isn't feasible I'll just come up with some kind of adapter. Then again, I may drain the fuel from the system in that area, pull the booster pump from the housing, then heat it and try to remove the fitting.

013.jpgWhen I did my fuel line project I tried to remove that Stupid fitting ! I even have all the correct tools and I could not get that thing to budge. I finally gave up and bought a AN6 to AN8 adapter.
