Insurance and registration on a non "antique" MV? (VIRGINIA)

With alot of these 90's trucks coming off GL someone must have some info. My deuce was easy, antique tags and ins. I am looking at a 93 and state farm and DMV is telling me I have to go with commercial for everything. True?

sounds expensive but I am getting a quote.

To be tagged as historic in Maryland it has to be 20 yrs or older, Sounds like Virginia might be the same.
If thats true in Va, your truck would be an antique in 2013...

In Florida the statute says that any military vehicle regardless of year or weight is eligible for a antique tag as a historical vehicle. See if VA has that in the statute.

got comm. insur. through usaa and just drop the gross weight down a little for dmv 475 a year on the insur. o go farm vechile
