TX Insurance premium increase

My wife calls me yesterday while waiting for my connection flt for home and tells me our monthly payment nearly doubled for the upcoming yearly premium.
Has anyone else seen a dramatic increase recently in their accident free premium/s?
I am with progressive under a commercial plan, only plan i could find at the time that wasnt double the rate of a couple other insurers.
I check with state farm while i was searching for insurance for my farm tractor and its as if state farm never heard of insuring FMVs, or at least the local office and even regional in dallas.

That does sound off. My increase in ins for my stand alone policy for the Humvee was less than 50 bucks in the Peoples republic of Massachusetts. My oldest boy lives in Fort Worth and I can't believe what he pays there.

Well, after a lengthy call with progressive, evidently some jackboot agency called tx dept of insurance and their bean counters determine what insurance providers must charge for insurance premiums.
They are next on my list to call to see what burr got under their saddle.

Everything insurance went up here in North Carolina between 9% and 12%.

Business Liability
Business and Personal Umbrella
Health Insurance

I personally have my agent shopping other companies.
There were no claims - except the health insurance - normal "well visits".
